Whether marching at Friday night football games or delivering powerful concert performances, the Fighting Aggie Band embodies the spirit and heart of Poteet.

About the Band

The Fighting Aggie Band provides students with the chance to grow as musicians, leaders, and team players. Students in the band are actively involved in a wide range of activities, including:

  • Marching Band Competitions & Performances

  • Concert Band & UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Contests

  • Solo & Ensemble Competitions

  • Pep Rallies, Parades, and Community Events

  • Band Camps, Clinics, & Leadership Workshops

By participating in these events, students develop their musical skills, teamwork, and school pride while building valuable life skills that extend beyond the band room.

We’re looking for incoming freshmen and current high school students to be part of our amazing Color Guard team!
No experience or instrument is required — just bring your energy, enthusiasm, and school spirit!

Important Announcement: New Personal Equipment Requirements
Important Announcement: New Personal Equipment Requirements

Starting next school year, certain personal equipment items will be required for all Fighting Aggie Band members. These items are essential for uniforms and performances, and will include:

  • Uniform Undergarments
  • Ball Cap or Visor (for stand wear and as alternate headgear)

We have worked hard to keep costs as reasonable as possible, securing prices lower than what we would normally receive.

At a minimum, we ask that each band member purchase:

  • 2 shirts
  • 1 pair of shorts
  • 1 ball cap or visor

For Guard members, there will be similar minimum requirements, with a few additional items pending discussion with the Guard Director.
