What is a high school transcript?
A high school transcript contains vital information, including a record of all the high school level courses you took, when you took them, your grades for each grading period, the number of credits earned in each grading period, your cumulative GPA, and your rank.
What is a transcript used for?
Transcripts give college admissions officers a quick overview of a student's academic performance and help them decide who to admit. Some scholarships, internships, and jobs may also request a copy of your high school transcript. An official transcript can also be provided as a supporting identity document to obtain a driver license or ID card.
In accordance with the Texas Open Records Act and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended, student academic records are classified as confidential, and may be released only with the written authorization of the student and/or the legal guardian.
