Agriculture Food & Natural Resources
Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources (AFNR)
The Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) program at Poteet High School introduces students to the industries that support life itself—food, water, land, and air. Through hands-on learning and career-focused instruction, students gain the skills to pursue both traditional and cutting-edge agricultural careers.
This Career Cluster includes a wide range of opportunities, from farmers, ranchers, and veterinarians to geologists, conservationists, florists, and technicians in renewable energy sectors like wind and solar. Whether students want to raise livestock, engineer ag systems, or explore sustainable practices, AFNR provides the foundation.
Program Focus Areas
